One of my fellow employees marked a recurring task complete, expecting the next one to appear on the list, but instead, it seems to have deleted the entire task (all occurrences). Should you not mark recurring tasks as "complete"? or is there a setting somewhere we're missing?

Thanks for replying
We did see and read that help page, but it hasn't answered our question.
First issue:
"On the first of the month, you see only the original occurrence of the task you created. On the second, the next occurrence of the task appears" and "If the task from the first hasn't been marked complete or deleted, you will see two occurrences of the task."
On my coworkers screen, the recurring icon is there, but it says "2 Days Ago" instead of displaying the next occurrence.
Second issue:
If my coworker marks a recurring task complete, it disappears. He has to go to the history and mark it 0% complete to get it back onto his task list, and it still says "2 Days Ago."
The task he showed me as a demo of this problem was a subtask - does that make a difference for recurring tasks?
Also, i visited this page, http://crowdfavorite.com/tasks-pro/docu ... nfig.html, that is linked to from the page you suggested below, and I don't see how it is possible for us to do this, because we use your hosted "UseTasks" service.

I'm not sure I understand the scenario you are describing. Perhaps you can explain, in more detail, the recurrence settings, expected behavior and observed behavior.
We handle all of the CRON jobs here - no need for set-up on your part.

Okay, here goes:
1) I create some a task with three subtasks that are set to "highest" priority and set to recur weekly on Mondays.
2) The task with recurring subtasks are organized as shown here:
http://pkids.org/images/tpro-recurring-1.jpg
3) As the subtasks are overdue, and I would like to clear them from my list and have them reappear later when it gets close to the next recurrence, so I click the complete task checkmark.
4) The subtask I checked as completed is removed from the list.
5) The task with recurring subtasks are now organized as shown here:
http://pkids.org/images/tpro-recurring-2.jpg
6) The subtask I clicked the checkmark button for shows up in the history section as completed, 100%.
Is this subtask completely removed from my tasks list or is it only that specific recurrence that is removed? Will the subtask show up again later in the week as being due soon or are you not allowed to complete/clear/hide recurring tasks in any fashion? Please clarify and advise.

Correct, the next recurrence of the task will appear after the due date of the previous occurrence:
From the docs linked above:
To work around these issues, recurring tasks only show up after the previous occurrence of the task is due. Let's go back to our example:
On the first of the month, you see only the original occurrence of the task you created. On the second, the next occurrence of the task appears (you need to configure recurring task activation for this to happen). If the task from the first hasn't been marked complete or deleted, you will see two occurrences of the task.

Alex, I'm sorry, I feel like we're not communicating very well! Let me try again:
You said, "Correct, the next recurrence of the task will appear after the due date of the previous occurrence:" and also "If the task from the first hasn't been marked complete or deleted, you will see two occurrences of the task," but that is not what is happening. In the first JPG below, we see only the past due task; the next/upcoming occurrence is not shown at all.
You said, "If the task from the first hasn't been marked complete or deleted, you will see two occurrences of the task." Our problem is that when the task IS marked complete, all occurrences disappear with it as well (see JPG #2); the next/upcoming occurrence is not shown at all.
Is there perhaps a more efficient way we could communicate about this? thanks

I'm sorry this feature isn't working for you as expected. I would recommend experimenting a little to better understand how it works, and perhaps reading some of the other discussion threads here on this topic.
If that doesn't help, Crowd Favorite does offer premium support via phone, if you'd like to training or further discussion of how the feature works.
