We're using UseTasks to get our employees collectively organized - it looks like it is helping already, so thank you for your product. 
We have a couple of questions:
1. Is it possible to do reminders a certain period of time before a task is due?
2. For a task that occurs only once a year, but is high priority, is it possible for me to somehow "hide" that until it's time for it?

The daily reminders will include whatever timeframe of upcoming tasks you wish to include (set in your Preferences).

Sorry, it is not possible at this time.
