When I add an URL to a file (file:\\server\folder\file.ext) I usually copy/paste the path from the Windows Explorer, which uses backwards slashes, not forward slashes like the Unix world. Tasks doesn't recognize the "file:\\" and puts an http: in front of it which obviously doesn't work. So I always have to remember to replace the first double backslash with a double forward slash. (It tolerates the other single backslashes in the path.)
It would be convenient if Tasks could accept the "file:\\" format, so I wouldn't have to do that.
Thanks, Bob

Thanks for the suggestion. I've put this on the list for the next release.
