Hi. A few questions.

I own an iPhone and if I access my online page at http://myusername.usetasks.com I get the huge normal web interface.

How do I get the PDA/Mobile Interface. In searching the documentation/forums I only see reference to it, but not an actual URL or parameter.

Or does it not support the iPhone at this time.

I'd really like to see iPhone support and an AJAX-ified interface -- I know you discussed having it on the "To Do" list for a future version and that response was back in August of 2007. I know you don't talk much on dates for new releases, but Tasks/Tasks Pro/Use Taks has been at 2.7.1 since last summer.

Because of the general interface "slugishness", I don't use the site as much as I should. It would be nice to have the newer "Web 2.0/Ajaxian" interface features like drag-n-drop to rearrange items.

Thanks in advance.

You can access the mobile version by going to:

http://example.usetasks.com/mobile.php

This is noted in the documentation here:

http://crowdfavorite.com/tasks-pro/docu ... obile.html

The iPhone is not sent to the mobile version because the iPhone browser supports the full version.

Thanks for the link.

I would ask/suggest that you make the iPhone version default to the mobile version -- the main login page seems to be the normal page -- which has page widths that default to too wide, IMHO, so that on the iPhone the initial form is scaled very small by default.

While the iPhone can perfectly render the main site, it has limited usefulness in that mode, requiring a lot of scrolling around since the site is designed with very wide widths.

The other item of the mobile version is that it comes up very quickly and is a thin/light application, which is better for the iPhone on the AT&T Edge network. While WiFi is nicer, for a core application like a list manager, you really want to be able to use it anywhere, at anytime, as fast as you can.

I would also ask that you take a look at the code for the mobile version. When my main page comes it, just like the non-mobile version, the page is scaled to display very small becuase it is trying to fit the height to my screen, not the width. For the iPhone (and similar devices), width should be the priority and the user can scroll through. It would be also nice to have "DIV" tags for the sections so that one can use iPhone features like a double-tap to zoom in/out on an area. Under the current mobile version, I need to manually use 2 fingers to zoom the screen and move it.

For a great iPhone interface to a web application that is semi-similar in nature, check out http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/iphone/. They have a "light mobile" version too, but it pales in comparison to the iPhone version.

Thanks.
